NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State made a second half rally, but visiting Oral Roberts University was able to hold back the Tigers and continue its hot start to the season with a 77-69 victory Monday night. The Tigers rallied from as much as a 14-point deficit in the second half to cut the difference to four points on five different occasions, the last at 73-69 with 1:40 remaining in the second half after Garrett Richardson's layup. However, the Tigers were not able to score the remainder of the way and Tyrone Tiggs helped seal the victory with three points down the stretch. TSU (1-3) was led by Roshaun Bowens with 15 points while Richardson and Adrian Pritchett scored 12 points each. The Tigers shot 52 percent (15-29) in the second half and 43 percent for the game. ORU (4-0) was led by Reggie Borges' 23 points. Luke Spencer-Gardner added 16 and handed 11 assists. TSU plays at Lipscomb University Thursday at 7 p.m.
