OPENING TIP: Looking for its first three-game winning streak of the young season, the Tennessee State men’s basketball team hosts Fisk in a Tuesday night Battle of Jefferson Street. TSU’s offense features balanced scoring with four different players leading the team in scoring through five games. TSU is 2-1 at home this season and 25-17 at the Gentry Center under fourth-year Head Coach Dana Ford.

LAST TIME OUT: Daniel Cummings drilled a three with 2.1 seconds left to force overtime and TSU outscored Kennesaw State by an 8-5 margin in overtime in a 77-74 road victory on Nov. 25. Armani Chaney scored a career-high 20 points to lead four Tigers (3-2) in double figures. Chaney also dished out seven assists and did not turn the ball over on the night. Chaney was joined in double figures by Delano Spencer with 14, Ken’Darrius Hamilton with 14 and Kamar McKnight with 10.

ABOUT FISK: The Bulldogs, who compete at the NAIA level, are 7-3 on the season. El Paso Pitts leads Fisk in scoring (11.4 ppg) and rebounding (5.3 rpg).

ALL-TIME SERIES: TSU is 16-3 in the all-time series versus Fisk. The Tigers have won nine in a row against Fisk.

LAST SEASON VERSUS FISK: TSU secured a 77-43 win in an exhibition game against Fisk last season on Nov. 3, 2016. The Tigers limited Fisk to 22.4 percent (13-of-58) shooting on the night. Six different TSU players scored seven or more points led by Armani Chaney with a team best nine points.
