LAS VEGAS --- As announced by the tournament Friday, Mark Freeman, freshman guard from Memphis, Tennessee, has been named to the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational All Tournament Team.
Freeman, who averages 6.6 points per game shot a career-high 16 points in the 82-72 win over Cal Poly in round one of the Invitational. He shot 5-of-7 from the field, 2-of-2 from three-point distance and added three assists.
In the title game on Friday, Freeman notched 8 points, 2 rebounds 6 assists and 2 steals to lift Tennessee State to champion status over the North Florida Ospreys, 81-73.
Freeman joins Yanni Wetzell and Jordan Schakel of San Diego State, CJ Fredrick and Luka Garza of Iowa, Marcus Segarowski from Creighton, Davide Moretti of Texas Tech, Carter Hendricksen of North Florida, Raiquan Clark of LIU and Colby Rogers from Cal Poly.
