Pierre Jordan

Pierre Jordan enters his fourth season as an assistant coach on Dana Ford’s staff in 2017-18. Jordan works with the guards in addition to his duties that include recruiting, player development, scouting and academic assistance.

Jordan, who began his time at TSU in July of 2014, has helped shape the Tigers into one of the top teams in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Tigers have posted a 37-24 record over the last two seasons with three First Team All-OVC selections from the guard position.

He has been part of the staff that earned back-to-back winning seasons including a 20-11 mark in  2015-16, reaching the 20-win mark for the third time at the Division 1 level. The Tigers also tied the record for the most wins in a season at the Gentry Center, going 11-3 at home and participating in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament.

The Dunwoody, Ga. native spent the 2013-14 season as Georgia Southern's Director of Operations, aiding with team travel and video exchange among many other tasks.

Jordan played basketball in the Atlantic Coast Conference for Florida State and Georgia Tech from 2008 to 2013. Beginning his career at Florida State, Jordan played for the Seminoles from 2008-11, helping FSU earn three NCAA Tournament berths. During his time in Tallahassee, the Seminoles advanced to the Sweet 16 in 2011 and made the ACC Championship game for the first time in school history in 2009.

He went on to play two seasons at Georgia Tech (2011-12, 2012-13), earning ACC Academic Honor Roll recognition both seasons.

He graduated from FSU in 2011 in three years and a summer session, earning his bachelor's degree in social science. Jordan went on to earn his master’s degree from Georgia Tech in Building Construction and Facility Management in 2013.

“Pierre comes to us highly recommended by many in the basketball circles across the country,” TSU Head Coach Dana Ford said. “He is a young energetic coach who does a great job of relating to today's student athlete.  He has been around basketball his entire life as the son of one of the premier AAU coaches in the Southeast region.”
