McNary Posts TSU's Top Time at Belmont Opener

NASHVILLE --- Sophomore Larry McNary posted a 43rd place finish on Friday at the Belmont Opener at Percy Warner Park to pace the Tennessee State men’s cross country team. In the first meet of the 2018 season, the Flying Tigers finished seventh out of the nine collegiate teams in the field with 222 points.

McNary’s 5K time of 17:46.20 earned him 43rd place, followed by Marcus Abdul in 45th place in 17:57.01.

Thomas Mosley clocked in at 18:40.14 for 52nd, while Russell Waters (53rd place – 18:51.98) and Jamario Scott (58th – 20:24.17) rounded out the scoring for TSU.

The Flying Tigers are back in action at Percy Warner Park on Sept. 15 for the Commodore Classic.
