Men’s Cross Country Competes in Commodore Classic

NASHVILLE --- Competing in its first 8K of the season, the Tennessee State men’s cross country team placed 14th at the Commodore Classic on Saturday morning at Percy Warner Park – Vaughn’s Gap Cross Country Course.

In the team competition, TSU finished with 444 points for 14th place.

For the second meet in a row, sophomore Larry McNary was TSU’s top finisher. He turned in a time of 29:49.5 to earn 127th place overall.

The rest of TSU’s top five consisted of sophomore Thomas Mosley (32:28.6), sophomore Marcus Abdul (32:29.8) and the freshman duo of John Frierson (32:30.2) and Russell Waters (33:24.5).

The next competition for TSU is the Austin Peay Cross Country Festival in Clarksville, Tenn. on Saturday, Sept. 22.
