Flying Tigers Take Fourth at Austin Peay Cross Country Festival

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ---- The Tennessee State men’s cross country team earned a fourth-place finish at the Austin Peay Cross Country Festival on Saturday morning at the Hilldale Family Life Center.

Competing in the 4-mile race, TSU scored 119 points for fourth place.

Larry McNary completed the course in 21:08.74 for TSU’s top time for 19th overall. He was followed closely by Thomas Mosley in 21:25.34 in 23rd place.

The freshman duo of John Frierson (22:02.20) and Russell Waters (22:05.69) were next to cross the finish line in 31st and 33rd place, respectively. Marcus Abdul rounded out TSU’s top five in 34th place in 22:17.30.

Next up for TSU is the Fast Cats Classic on Saturday, Oct. 6 in Owensboro, Ky. in the final meet prior to the Ohio Valley Conference Championship on Oct. 27.
