Flying Tigers Take 15th at Fast Cats Classic

OWENSBORO, Ky. --- Sophomore Larry McNary posted the top time for the Tennessee State men’s cross country team on Saturday at the Fast Cats Classic at Yellow Creek Park. The Flying Tigers placed 15th overall with 406 points led by McNary’s 71st place finish in 30:34 in the 8K.

Freshman John Frierson turned in his best 8K time of the season in 30:48 for 80th place with fellow freshman Russell Waters also securing a season best of 31:47 – good for 99th overall.

Sophomore Marcus Abdul crossed the finish line in 32:36 for 113th on the day with sophomore Thomas Mosley posting a time of 32:56 for 95th place.

The next action for TSU is the Ohio Valley Conference Championship on Oct. 27 in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
