Flying Tigers Finish Cross Country Season in 12th at OVC Championship

RESULTS

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. --- Sophomore Larry McNary earned 83rd place overall to lead the Tennessee State men’s cross country team to a 12th place finish at the Ohio Valley Conference Championship at the Osage Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. on Saturday morning. The Flying Tigers finished with 361 points overall to take 12th in the 8K.

TSU’s top five finishers all turned in season-best times in the 8K. McNary led the group with a 28:43.9 finish for 83rd.

Thomas Mosley crossed the finish line in 29:22.9, which was good for 87th place, followed by John Frierson in 89th in 30:26.3.

Marcus Abdul and Quintsontro Irby Jr. rounded out TSU’s scoring five with times of 31:46.7 (92nd place) and 32:55.7 (94th place) respectively.

Next up is the indoor track and field season beginning with the Blue and White Meet at the Gentry Center on Nov. 14.
