RICHMOND, Ky. --- Tennessee State recorded their best round of the EKU Intercollegiate sponsored by Raising Cane’s as they closed out play on Sunday. The Tigers carded a 298 during the final round and finished 18th with a 68-over, 908.
Junior Jermey Fultz (78-77-72=227) carded a team low of 72 and finished 17-over for the tournament. Fultz hit a 3-wood to 10 feet on the par-5, 2nd, and converted the putt to make eagle. On the par-3, 7th, the junior hit a 4-iron to three feet setting up a tap-in for birdie.
Rosario Falzone (75-76-74=225) birdied hole No. 1 after hitting a wedge shot from 108 yards out to five feet of the pin. The sophomore tied Drew Owens (78-71-76=225) for the best score weekend score.
Todd McGill (76-79-76=231) earned the final scoring mark for the Tigers with a 6-over, 76, during the final round.
Kody Rendleman (80-79-81=240) missed out on a scoring round in his first competition for the Tigers.
TSU will head to Batavia, Ohio on Sunday to take part in the NKU Fall Classic.
