WIMBERLY LEADS TSU RUNNERS AT TECH INVITATIONAL

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tennessee State cross country runner Evan Wimberly continues to improve his time for the Tigers' cross country team, finishing 12th in Tennessee Tech's Invitational this past weekend. Wimberly ran the 8K course on the Southern Hills Golf Course in a time of 29:39.9 to lead the Tigers. Saihou Mbenga was 23rd with a time of 32:32.4, followed by Billy Wyatt (34th-34:47.9), Quincy Wilkins (33rd, 37:08), and Samuel Betts (34th, 37:51.8). Host Tech edged North Alabama 28-30. Alabama A&M scored 105, Bethel 112, and TSU 134. The event is TSU's last scheduled meet until the OVC Championships in late October.
