My TSU Experience: Desmond Tanner

Desmond Tanner ended his impressive four-year run in blue and white with two medals at the OVC Outdoor Championship. A native of nearby Clarksville, Tenn., he earned silver in the 4x100 relay and bronze in the 400m hurdles. The Flying Tiger improved throughout his stay at TSU, clocking personal records in the 400-meter hurdles, 400-meter run, 110m hurdles and 60m hurdles in his final season. Tanner graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Sports Science on May 4. He shared his college experience with tsutigers.com.

TSUTigers: Talk about your overall TSU experience.
A: It was a great experience. I feel that I fit into the TSU culture naturally.

TSUTigers: What do you love most about TSU?
A: I love the traditions and people.

TSUTigers: What will you miss most about TSU?
A: My friends, track team and my frat brothers.

TSUTigers: What is your most memorable moment in your sport at TSU?
A: Qualifying for OVC Finals as a freshman.

TSUTigers: What is your most memorable non-sport moment at TSU?
A: When I crossed Kappa Alpha Psi

A: Getting my degree

A: TSU will be whatever you make it.

A: Kinesiology
