Kierra Ware would try to spark the Tigers with the teams first hit of the day in the third and came around to score, evening the game at 1-1. EKU responded with three runs in the fourth, only to see the Tigers score two of their own in the fifth.

Eastern Kentucky sealed the fate of the Tigers with three unearned runs in the sixth. Despite solid pitching performances, Tori Hart (0-10) and Lauren Powell (2-18) were ticketed with losses.
