GAME ONE

  • The Tigers were held hitless until Katie Schneider ripped a single up the middle with two outs in the seventh inning
  • Schneider was the first Tiger to reach base since Sarah Snell was hit by a pitch with one out in the first inning
  • Savanah Wallace recorded the second hit for TSU with a knock in the eighth inning
  • Raven Loveless worked out of a bases loaded, no out, jam in the second frame by enticing three ground ball outs
  • EIU put the leadoff hitter in the fifth, which proceeded to steal second and third giving the Panthers a runner at third with no outs
  • Loveless would strikeout the next batter and forced a pair of groundouts to keep EIU off the board
  • The Panthers scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth as the Tigers double play attempt to get out of the inning went astray
  • Loveless suffered the loss and fell to 10-13

GAME TWO

  • The Tigers started fast as Bri Vire singled up the middle and Sarah Snell doubled to right, moving Vire to third
  • Vire scored a batter later as Reese Weber ground out to short
  • Snell scored as the centerfielder mishandled a single off the bat of Emma Colegrove, for a 2-0 advantage
  • EIU answered in the bottom of the frame on a two run blast
  • Megan Huppee and Patton Akers worked back-to-back base on balls and later scored on a Panther error
  • EIU closed out the game by scoring five runs over the final four innings
