TSU UPDATE: Tennessee State fell to Eastern Illinois after a trip to Charleston, Illinois. In a 3-1 battle on Saturday, TSU struggled through the first set, but picked up momentum and set the tempo for the next two. The Tigers took set three 25-23, forcing a fourth, but lost out 25-15. Rachel Henderson led both team in kills, recording her career-high 21.
SERIES INFORMATION: In the all-time series against Jacksonville State, the Tigers are 10-21. Against the Golden Eagles, TSU is 16-38. In the last five seasons, Big Blue went 2-3 against the Gamecocks away from Kean and 3-2 against TN Tech.
ABOUT JACKSONVILLE STATE: The Gamecocks travelled to Eastern Kentucky to take on the Colonels and lost in four dropping to 1-3 in conference play. Allyson Zuhlke put down 13 kills and two blocks in the loss. Multiple Gamecocks scored double-digit kills, which will force TSU defense to work efficiently.
