The Tennessee State University women’s basketball team will play its final regular season home game on Saturday, Feb. 18 versus Eastern Kentucky. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m. in the Gentry Center. The seniors will be honored before the game while Courtside Dining will also take place that night.
THE LADY TIGERS AT A GLANCE
Tennessee State (9-15, 4-10 OVC) is only a four-game losing skid and is most recently coming off an, 87-74, loss to Morehead State on Wednesday.
The Lady Tigers are averaging 64.2 points per contest while shooting 39.9 percent from the field and 29.3 percent from three-point range. TSU is only shooting 64.2 percent from the free-throw line.
Senior Olivia Jones averages 10.9 points per game for the Lady Tigers while I’mani Davis turns in 10.4 points per outing. Davis pulls down a team best 7.3 rebounds per game while Jones hauls in 6.5 caroms per contest.
The Lady Tigers are led by fifth year head coach and Hall of Famer, Larry Joe Inman.

TSU trailed by nearly 30 points before managing to cut the deficit down to 13 points. Time, however, ran out on the Lady Tigers’ comeback attempt in an, 87-74, loss to Morehead State Wednesday night. Olivia Jones recorded a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds while I’mani Davis scored 16. Maxine Beard finished the game with 10 points. TSU shot 45.7 percent from the field but only made 1-of-12 from three-point range and had 29 turnovers.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Eastern Kentucky (9-17, 6-7 OVC) has dropped three of its last four and is most recently coming off a 73-67 loss to league leader Belmont at home. EKU averages 64.2 points per game while shooting 39.3 percent from the field and 32.6 percent from three-point range. Jalen O’Bannen leads the team in scoring with 13.7 ppg while Alexus Cooper (12.8 ppg) and Shavontae Naylor (12.2 ppg) round out the top three scorers for the Colonels.
TSU will match up with EKU for the 61st time in the series history with the Colonels leading, 40-20. EKU claimed the first meeting of the season, 66-62, in Richmond, Ky.
