Tucson, Ariz. ---Â The Tennessee State University women's basketball team dropped a, 77-42, decision to No. 18 Arizona Thursday night in McKale Center.
TSU (1-7) was led in scoring by Jazmine Young's 12 points. She was the only Lady Tiger to reach double-digits.
No. 18 Arizona remained undefeated and improved to 10-0.
Tennessee State struggled to score in the contest and only shot 25.9 percent from the field. TSU shot its best percentage in the fourth quarter (46.2 %) and nearly matched Arizona point-for-point in the final period, 18-17.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After starting the game with two empty possessions, TSU got on the board with a couple of free-throws from Taylor Roberts.
- At the first media timeout, TSU trailed 6-2.
- Takya Bennett drove the lane for another Tennessee State bucket but the Lady Tigers went scoreless for almost three minutes.
- The score was, 17-6, in favor of Arizona after 10 minutes of action.
- In the second quarter, TSU fell behind, 20-6, before four straight points from Jazmine Young closed the gap to 20-10.
- Turnovers by TSU fueled a 13-1 run by the Wildcats that stretched their advantage to, 33-11, at the 4:52 mark.
- Terrysha Banner sank a jumper from the elbow to end another minutes-long scoring lull and TSU went into the break down, 37-18.
- Jazmine Young got the Lady Tigers on the board with a three-point play in the second half but the offense hit a stalemate.Â
- TSU sank into a 52-25 hole with 3:51 left in the third period.
- Heading into the final frame, the home team led, 59-25.

- This was the first meeting between Tennessee State and Arizona.
- TSU dropped its seventh consecutive game.
- Jazmine Young posted double-digits in scoring for the sixth time this season.
