Women's Basketball Set to Host Morehead on Thursday Morning

OPENING TIP — The Tennessee State women's basketball team will return home for a two-game Ohio Valley Conference home-stand set to begin with Morehead on Thursday morning. The Lady Tigers will look to get back in the win column after back-to-back overtime losses. Thursday's game will be Kids Day as local schools from the community will be in attendance.

SERIES INFORMATION: This will be the 72nd contest between TSU and MSU. The Eagles lead the all-time series 40-31 after picking up an 86-76 win over the Lady Tigers earlier this season. Sanaa' St. Andre finished with 23 points in the first outing, while Saniah Parker tallied 15.

EXTRA SPARK: Zyion Shannon logged her second straight double-digit scoring performance off the bench with 11 points against EIU and her ninth double-digit performance off the bench overall. The second-year Tiger has played in 18 games and averages 22.6 minutes per game. She continues to provide a spark on offense and defense, averaging 8.2 ppg.
