Football Comes Up Short in a 52-3 loss to #2 North Dakota State

FARGO, N.D.  — Tennessee State fell 52-3 to No. 2 North Dakota State on the road Saturday afternoon at the Fargodome. 

The Bison improved to 1-1 on the season while the Tigers dropped to 1-1.

Draylen Ellis totaled 27 yards to lead the Tigers' ground attack in the game. CJ Evans also tacked on 22 yards on the ground, picking up 5.5 yards per carry.

Jalal Dean hauled in three catches for 51 yards.

Malik Ganaway showed out for the Tennessee State defense, collecting five tackles and one interception. Ahmad Nelson had six tackles and 1.0 TFL in the loss.

Tennessee State responded to an early 52-0 North Dakota State lead with a fourth quarter field goal to narrow the deficit to 52-3. Neither team scored again in the game.
