Johnny Johnson serves as the General Manager for Tennessee State University football, where he oversees player personnel and recruiting operations for the program. In this role, he leads roster management strategy, talent identification, and evaluation, while coordinating all aspects of recruiting to support the Tigers’ long-term success.

Johnson plays a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with prospective student-athletes, high school and junior college coaches, and internal staff. He manages recruiting logistics, organizes official and unofficial visits, and supports the coaching staff in assembling a competitive and well-balanced roster.

A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Johnson earned his Master’s degree from Auburn University at Montgomery in 2012. Known for his detail-oriented approach and strong relationship-building skills, Johnson is instrumental in shaping the future of TSU football through strategic recruiting and player personnel management.
