Demetrius Woods enters his first season on staff at Tennessee State University in 2027, bringing more than a decade of coaching experience along with an extensive background in player development, mentorship, and sports media.
Woods most recently spent 10 years coaching at the travel ball and high school levels, where he focused on fundamentals, leadership, and preparing student-athletes for collegiate competition.
Prior to coaching, he earned his bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Georgia State University in 2016, building a strong foundation in communication, storytelling and media production.
A native of Eatonton, Georgia, Woods brings a relationship-driven approach to coaching, rooted in strong communication, authenticity, and a commitment to positively impacting student-athletes on and off the field as he begins his career at Tennessee State University.
