Eric Evans is a fundraising and advancement professional with experience in higher education, athletics, and donor engagement.

Prior to his current role, Evans served as Director of Philanthropy at Austin Peay State University, where he led major gift fundraising and corporate partnership efforts for the College of Business and the Office of Military and Veteran Affairs. He also worked in the Business and Finance Department for University of Tennessee Athletics, supporting budget management, financial operations, and early NIL-readiness initiatives. Evans previously held advancement roles at Lincoln Memorial University, with a focus on donor engagement and annual giving growth.

A former four-year collegiate basketball student-athlete, Evans competed at Albion College and Cornerstone University and was a member of Cornerstone’s 2017 NAIA National Runner-Up team.

Evans earned a Bachelor of Science in communications from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in sports administration from Arkansas State University.
