Ryan Conway serves as Special Teams Coordinator and Running Backs Coach at Tennessee State University, bringing a diverse background in coaching, scouting, and analytics across both the collegiate and professional football levels.
Conway spent the prior season on the defensive side of the ball as Assistant Linebackers Coach before transitioning into his current role. His coaching versatility and analytical background have allowed him to contribute across multiple phases of the game throughout his career.
Prior to Tennessee State, Conway spent four seasons with the Cleveland Browns as an Offensive/Scouting Assistant. In that role, he worked closely with offensive staff including Offensive Coordinator Tommy Rees, Wide Receivers Coach Chad O’Shea, and Running Backs Coach Duce Staley, while also contributing to the organization’s Pro Scouting Department.
Before his time in the NFL, Conway served as an Offensive Analyst at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was part of the staff during the program’s 2021 ACC Championship season. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Data Analyst for an economic litigation consulting firm in Washington, D.C., further strengthening his analytical and strategic skill set.
A native of Northern Virginia, Conway earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics with honors from the University of Virginia. He is joined in Nashville by his wife, Cristina, and is proud to call the city home.
