Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee State University Tigers'

the Gentry Center.
TSU (1-8, 0-2) dropped their second conference game of the
season while shooting 38 percent from the floor. With the win, the Redhawks (3-6, 1-1) snap a
26-game OVC losing streak, the longest in the nation, connecting 50 percent of their field
goals, including 43 percent from three-point range.
For the second straight night, Jeremiah Crutcher led TSU in
scoring with a game-high 21 points. He ties a career high achieved on Thursday
night (12/3) against Eastern Illinois.
Robert Covington scored 18 points while hauling in a team
high, eight boards. Wil Peters followed with 12 points, five rebounds, and a
game-high, five assists.
TSU trailed the entire first half and were victims to the
Redhawks' 31-17 lead at halftime.
After the break, the Tigers surged on a 21-12 run to chop
the lead, 43-38, with 12:02 remaining. With 5:24 on the clock, TSU moved within
three, 57-54, from a Tashan Fredrick free throw. The effort would be the
closest the Tigers would come within the Redhawks lead. SEMO outscored TSU,
17-12, in the closing minutes, connecting 3-of-3 from the floor and 8-of-10
from the free throw line to secure the win.
