Statesboro, Ga. - The Tennessee State volleyball team dropped their final game of the Georgia Southern Tournament 3-0 to Winthrop on Saturday.
Winthrop defense and a total of 27 Tiger errors made it hard for TSU to produce. For the match, the Tigers hit for a negative percentage (-.023) with 22 kills on 88 attempts, while the Eagles hit .275 with 38 kills on 91 attempts.
Junior Chloe Watson, who had nine kills and produced a team high of nine points, led the Tigers. Junior Puamana Danielson led the team with 11 digs, while sophomore Samantha Beltran led the team in assists (18) and recorded two kills and six digs.
The Tigers are back in action as they return home for their "Code Blue" game against Alabama A&M at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in Kean Hall. Follow @TnStateVB for updates and information.
