LEXINGTON, Ky. --- The Tennessee State men's basketball team closed its Saturday night game in E.A. Diddle Arena with a loss to Western Kentucky, 88-74.
Redshirt junior Kamar McKnight led the game with a career-best 30 points. One-of-two eligible seniors on the roster, Stokley Chaffee, Jr. recorded his second double-double of the season with 10 points, 10 rebounds, while also leading the Tigers in blocks with two.
This marks the second game with a significant difference between the number of trips TSU took to the courtesy line, when compared to its opponent. Big Blue had 34 personal fouls, allowing WKU a chance at 45 free throws on the night; the Hilltoppers shot for 80 percent from the line.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With only 20 seconds off the clock, Desean Murray draws a foul and gets to put two on the board for WKU.
- A layup brings the Tigers within one 23-22 – the closest since the beginning of the half.
- Fitzpatrick-Dorsey closes the half with two made free throws,
- WKU led the Tigers by five, 38-33 after 20 minutes.
- Leading scorer's for TSU Kamar McKnight and Donte Fitzpatrick-Dorsey combined for 32 points in the second half, helping Big Blue shrink the Hilltoppers' lead to three early in the half.
- Josh Anderson, WKU's sophomore guard, hit 5-of-5 from the floor and added five points from the free throw line, missing only one the entire second half.
- One final bucket from Taveion Hollingsworth increased the Hilltoppers' lead to 14.

- TSU is 0-9 in the all-time series versus the Hilltoppers.
- Western Kentucky honored its All-Century Team, in honor of its upcoming 100th season, during halftime.
