CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State softball team dropped the final game of their 11-game road trip. The Tigers was on the short end of a pitching duel, falling 2-0 to the Mocs.

Lauren Powell took the loss after tossing a complete game, scattering four hits and three walks. The junior pitcher surrendered a run in the second and an insurance run in the fourth. Powell struck out three batters as she moved to 2-20 on the season.

UTC hurler Celie Hudson held the Tigers to one hit on the evening. Katie Schneider recorded the lone knock for the Tigers with a single to right in the fourth inning.
