NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State men's basketball team will no longer participate in nor host the John McLendon Classic as part of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament.

"In the best interest of our students, coaches, game personnel and fans we decided yesterday afternoon to cancel our participation in the postseason CollegeInsider.com Tournament," said Athletics Director Teresa Phillips. "Since that decision was made, tournament officials decided to cancel the entire tournament. Of course, we and the team are truly disappointed but are looking forward to a productive off season. Many thanks to our students and fans for their great support this season. Our attendance was #2 in the OVC and the best is yet to come! Thank you Tiger family. We appreciate you!"
