Volleyball Gets Swept by Eastern Illinois

CHARLESTON, Ill. — The Tennessee State volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Eastern Illinois on Saturday evening.

Gina Ortiz-Rivera finished with 25 digs and Mion Weldon had 12 kills but a strong Panthers attack pushed the hosts to victory. 

EIU took the first and second sets 25-18, 25-18 but it was TSU who fought back for the third set 25-22. However, the Panthers fought off a Tigers defense in the fifth set to come away with the victory.
