Football Closes Out Season at #25 Mississippi State on Saturday

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee State football team will put a bow on the 2021 Fall season with a non-conference game at SEC member Mississippi State on Saturday morning at 11 a.m.

Television: SEC Network, ESPN+ — The SEC Network will carry the game live with Mike Couzens (play-by-play), Dustin Fox (analyst). Pregame will begin at 11:00 a.m. Central Time. Fans can also watch the game on the ESPN app.

Radio: 102.1 FM The Ville, Sirius XM — 192 (car), 991 (app) — Big Blue Sports Network will carry the game live with Greg Pogue (play-by-play) and Will Brown (analyst). Pregame show starts at 10:30 a.m. Central Time

SERIES INFORMATION — This is the first all-time meeting between Tennessee State and Mississippi State.

GARNETT'S GLORY — Chayil Garnett made the most of his opportunity against Austin Peay 95 yards on 9-of-19 passing in the fourth quarter. He tossed his first TD to Zaire Thornton on the final drive of the contest.

ROWDY RODY ROUSE — Jalen Rouse rushed for 52 yards on 18 carries and added a 40-yard reception  to his 92 yards of total offense.

HEART AND SOUL — Josh Trueheart had a pair of receptions for 39 yards in the loss to Austin Peay. Trueheart has 11 receptions on the season for 141 yards and one touchdown.
