Tennessee State men's basketball continues its final home stand of the season Saturday, Feb. 13 versus Eastern Kentucky. Tip on ESPN+ and the Big Blue Sports Network is set for 4 p.m. in the Gentry Center.

The Tennessee State Tigers fell to the Morehead State Eagles, 70-66 in the Gentry Center Thursday night.

Shakem Johnson led the Tigers for the fourth time this season in scoring with 18 points, five rebounds.
Ravel Moody,
Mark Freeman and
Josh Linder rounded out the double-figure scoring corral summing a combined 37 points.

 At the half, Morehead State led Big Blue by just two, 34-32. After the break, TSU's offense slowed to a halt, allowing the Eagles to go on a 12-0 run. The Tigers worked their way back to a 48-44 deficit before Morehead State's Cooper, Potter and Broome scored 31 more points to seal the Eagles' 11th straight win.

LAST TIME OUT AGAINST THE COLONELS
The Tennessee State men's basketball team was eliminated from the Ohio Valley Conference tournament after falling to the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, 58-48.

A two-point halftime lead was erased early in the second period as EKU's offense lit up the floor. The Colonel's made 18 shots within the first 12 minutes, compared to just nine attempted for TSU.

In the Tigers' season finale,
Carlos Marshall Jr. led the Tigers with double-digits, the sole in blue and white to do so, while
Shakem Johnson grabbed 10 rebounds on the evening.
Ravel Moody, junior-college transfer, who had a standout night in round one of the tournament over Morehead State, led the Tigers defensively, registering three steals and two blocks.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Eastern Kentucky is coached by the 2019-20 OVC Coach of the Year A.W. Hamilton. Hamilton is in his third year at the helm of the Colonels who host a league-high six players who average double figures.

Brandon Knapper leads the team in points per game with 18.3, but the ___ has only seen action in four games, starting two. Tre King is runner-up with 15. 7 points per game over 19 games.

The Colonels fell to Belmont on Thursday, 92-74 and are currently 2-3 in February.
