GAMEDAY
The Tennessee State University women's basketball team will return to action on Thursday, Feb. 18 against Tennessee Tech. Game time is slated for 5 p.m. in the Gentry Center. 
 
THE LADY TIGERS AT A GLANCE
TSU is looking for its first win of the season on Thursday. The Lady Tigers are coming off a loss to Eastern Kentucky on Thursday. The setback moved TSU to 0-17, 0-15 OVC. 
 
The TSU seniors have been the leaders for the squad. Andreana Wrister is turning in 14.3 ppg while Taylor Roberts averages 13.9 ppg. Jaden Wrightsell is almost averaging a double-double with 9.5 ppg and 7.4 rpg. Senior Breannah McCullah is the team's 4th leading scorer with 6.8 ppg.
 
TSU is averaging 48.8 points per game while shooting 33.6 percent from the field and 22.7 percent from three-point range.
 
The Lady Tigers are led by first year head coach Ty Evans.
 
LAST TIME OUT
TSU battled the entire night but saw the game slip away down the stretch in a, 74-62, loss to Eastern Kentucky in the Gentry Center. TSU was trailing by four points when EKU used a 15-2 run to grab a 71-54 lead. The Lady Tigers outscored the Colonels 8-3 in the final two minutes but the rally was not enough to overcome the deficit. Taylor Roberts finished the game with 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal. Andreana Wrister tallied 10 points, seven assists and six rebounds in the contest. TSU shot nearly 40 percent from the field (23-of-58) and knocked down 85.7 percent (12-of-14) from the free-throw line. 
 
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Tennessee Tech (12-6, 10-5 OVC) is on a three-game winning streak. The Golden Eagles are coming off a 62-45 win over Eastern Illinois. TTU is fourth in the OVC standings.
 
LAST TIME THEY MET
TSU suffered an, 83-34, road loss to Tennessee Tech in the Eblen Center. TSU had trouble finding its offensive rhythm early and struggled to contain a hot-shooting TTU squad early on. The Lady Tigers fell behind by 17 points in the opening quarter and could never dig themselves out of the hole. Jaden Wrightsell led TSU with 11 points while Kennedy Davis had a team-best five rebounds. 
 
SERIES INFORMATION
TSU match up with Tennessee Tech for the 74th time in the series history with Tech leading 60-13. The Golden Eagles have won six straight over the Lady Tigers, including an 83-34 decision in Eblen Center last month. TSU's last win was a 76-66 victory on 1/6/18.
