Richmond, Ky.  --- In an intense battle that went down to the final seconds, the Tennessee State University women's basketball team fell to Eastern Kentucky, 69-64, Saturday night in McBrayer Arena.Â
The tightly contested game featured four times and five lead changes. It was a two-point game in favor of EKU with 30 seconds remaining and the opponent made a timely three-pointer with 3.6 seconds remaining to escape with the win.Â
Jaden Wrightsell led TSU with 20 points to go with six rebounds and four assists.
Taylor Roberts had 16 points while
Andreana Wrister finished with 11.
Jasmine Broner pulled down a game-high and career-best 10 rebounds.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- TSU scored the first points of the game and grabbed a 6-3 lead at the 7:52 mark.Â
- EKU answered with a triple to tie the game on the next possession but TSU regained the lead, 9-6, behind a three-pointer from Andreana Wrister.Â
- TSU was leading 11-8, when a scoring drought allowed EKU take the lead, 16-11.Â
- Jaden Wrightsell ended the more than four-minute drought with a free-throw and TSU trailed 20-15 at the end of the first quarter.Â
- The Lady Tigers outscored the Colonels 8-3 to start the third period and tied the game at 23-all.
- A few plays later, London Fairs sank her second three-pointer of the game to give TSU a 26-25 edge.Â
- TSU had outscored EKU 11-5 up to that point.
- The Lady Tigers, however, would suffer yet another scoring drought that allowed the opponent to retake the lead and stretch the advantage to, 35-26.
- TSU was down, 38-28, when a 5-0 run that included buckets from Fairs and Wrister, cut the deficit down to five heading into the halftime break.Â
- TSU pulled to within three in the opening moments of the third frame but EKU built the lead back up to, 47-39, with about five minutes on the clock.Â
- The Lady Tigers managed to pull within six but the Colonels used a rally to build their lead back up to double-digits.Â
- TSU put together a couple of scores and heading into the final 10 minutes, the score was, 55-48, in favor of EKU.
- The defensive pressure by TSU created opportunities on the other end but TSU was not able to capitalize as EKU maintained at least a five-point cushion.
- EKU had a 62-55 lead with 3:32 remaining and TSU pulled to within four with less than two minutes on the clock.Â
- The Lady Tigers clawed back to within two, 66-64, with 30 seconds on the clock.Â
- On the next possession, EKU buried a three-pointer as the shot clock expired to go up 69-64 with 3.6 seconds remaining.Â
- TSU's next shot attempt was off the mark.
