LOUISVILLE – The Tennessee State Tiger Volleyball team remains unbeaten topping George Washington and Bellarmine in back-to-back matches.
"Going into this weekend, our focuses was spreading out our offense as well as winning the serve and serve receive battle. We did a good job of both" says Head Coach Donika Sutton.
Against George Washington University , Aria Holmes had a career high 17 kills. Aniya Williams with 10 kills and Kendall Washington added 7 kills while hitting a very efficient .500 and Gina Rivera-Ortiz tallied 20 digs.
In the afternoon matchup against host Bellarmine University, the offense was incredibly balanced. Holmes recorded 15 kills, Washington with 13, Aleksandra Rojecka added 13 kills and Aniya Williams contributed 12. While Gina Rivera-Ortiz recorded 24 digs.
As a team, the Tigers did job defensively out-blocking the Knights 13-4.
