LOUISVILLE – The Tennessee State Tiger Volleyball team remains unbeaten topping George Washington and Bellarmine in back-to-back matches.

Against George Washington University , Aria Holmes had a career high 17 kills. Aniya Williams with 10 kills and Kendall Washington added 7 kills while hitting a very efficient .500 and Gina Rivera-Ortiz tallied 20 digs.

In the afternoon matchup against host Bellarmine University, the offense was incredibly balanced. Holmes recorded 15 kills, Washington with 13, Aleksandra Rojecka added 13 kills and Aniya Williams contributed 12. While Gina Rivera-Ortiz recorded 24 digs.

As a team, the Tigers did job defensively out-blocking the Knights 13-4.

Donika Sutton (Quotes) "This weekend was a team effort, we saw two completely different styles of play and our players made adjustments and battled hard this tournament.

With as many positives as the coaching staff saw, we know how much more we are capable of as a team and we are going to try to continue to make improvements as we get closer to OVC play."
