Box Score NASHVILLE – The Tennessee State men's basketball team dropped their first road game of conference play to Murray State, 67-44.
FIRST HALF: Murray State kickstarted the game with 10 straight points as MSU's Carter Collins registered eight of the first 10.
Dedric Boyd tallied the first basket of the game for TSU with a mid-range jumper at the elbow. The Tigers' leading scorer,
Carlos Marshall Jr., brought the game within single digits, 14-5, with a three-pointer. The Racers went on an 11-0 run to extend the advantage. Tennessee State put an end to the stretch with five unanswered points.
Boyd led the Tigers with eight points in the opening stanza. ||

SECOND HALF: Tennessee State trimmed the deficit with nine consecutive points to begin the half. Four different Tigers contributed to the run as
Kassim Nicholson recorded four of the nine points. Murray State responded with a 12-3 scoring stretch to increase their lead to 47-28. The two programs exchanged baskets for most of the half.
Marshall Jr. led the team with seven points and six rebounds.
