NASHVILLE — After a road split at Lindenwood, the Tennessee State University Tiger Volleyball Team look to get back to their home winning ways when they take on the Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville (SIUE) Cougars. The weekend series will take place at Kean Hall. The Tigers are tied for the best home record in the conference with Tennessee Tech at 6-2. Last week Tuesday, they lost for the first time at Kean Hall to the OVC's top team UT-Martin breaking a six-game home winning streak. Their other home loss was against nationally ranked Stanford at Gentry Center. TSU is anxious to start a new winning streak at Kean.
"The goal is to protect your house," said TSU head coach
Donika Sutton, "Winning on the road in this conference is tough so doing well at home is important. We are glad to be back and look forward to have a big crowd to support us in this challenge."
SIUE comes in after dropping two games at Tennessee Tech last weekend. They have struggled away from Edwardsville with a 2-6 record. For both teams, this is a crucial series to stay in the hunt for one of the top seeds in the OVC tournament. Last season the two schools split their series in Nashville.
