Adams Earns OVC Player of The Week Honors After Back-to-Back 20+ Point Games

NASHVILLE – Sophomore guard Gia Adams was named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of The Week on Tuesday morning after back-to-back 20+ point games to open the season.

The All-OVC preseason selection averaged 23.5 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, 3.5 assists per game, 2.0 steals per game, and shot 42 percent from the floor in two games against Fisk and Kansas City. Adams finished with 20 points in the opener against Fisk and finished with four assists in the win. She scored 27 points in Friday's game at Kansas City and finished with four steals and three helpers.

This marks the fourth career OVC Player of The Week award for Adams, after earning the honor three times last year.
 
TSU will be back in action tomorrow night as they head to Chattanooga for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Mocs.
