OPENING TIP: The bright lights of the Gentry Center are back on as the Tennessee State men's basketball team will set up home residence for the rest of 2022 starting with Boyce on Tuesday evening. 

WHERE TO WATCH & LISTEN: TSU expanded its partnership with Cromwell Media naming 102.1 FM The Ville as the flagship station for TSU men's basketball. "The Voice of the Tigers" Greg Pogue returns for his 11th season behind the mic and will be reunited with his longtime partner Albert Dawson. The pregame show will begin 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the contest not the actual tip time in doubleheader situations. The action can also be heard on the TSU Tigers app.

BOYCE SERIES INFORMATION: Tuesday is the first all-time meeting between TSU and Boyce

SCOUTING BOYCE: The Bulldogs are coming off recent wins over Spalding and Crown College. Boyce will meet its second D1 opponent Eastern Kentucky on Saturday. Brody Madeira leads the team with 15.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game and is shooting 44 percent from the field. Tyler Nauert is second in scoring (13.6) and has knocked down a team-best 19 triples on the year.

PUPPY TRAINING: For the fourth consecutive home game, TSU will face opposition with the same mascot (Bulldogs — Fisk, South Carolina State, Alabama A&M and Boyce). During OVC play, TSU will play three teams with the same "Eagle" mascot — Tennessee Tech, Morehead State and Southern Indiana and two Lions — Bryan and Lindenwood and two Panthers — High Point and Eastern Illinois.  

HOME COOKIN': TSU is 3-0 thus far at home this season. During the 2019-20 season, the second season under head coach Penny Collins, TSU started out 8-0 at home and would finish the season 11-3 at the Gentry Center. During that run, TSU defeated Alabama A&M, Lipscomb, Fisk, Chicago State, Blue Mountain College, Eastern Illinois, SIU and Morehead State.
