Gia Adams led all scorers with 24 points but the Tennessee State Lady Tigers dropped their last home contest of the season, 72-61, to Eastern Illinois on Saturday afternoon at the Gentry Center on Senior Day.
Tatyana Davis added 15 points for the Lady Tigers in 38 minutes.
EIU led 38-29 at the half as TSU battled back late in the third quarter and trailed 49-47 with 49 seconds on a layup by
Elise Harden.
In the fourth, TSU kept the deficit close and once again and trailed by one (60-59) after
Dominique Claytor hit a layup with 3:21 left. EIU finished the game on a 12-2 run.
Lariah Washington led four other EIU players in double figures with 19 points, six rebounds and six assists.
The Lady Tigers will conclude the regular season next week with road games at Tennessee Tech on Thursday and Belmont on Saturday.
