NASHVILLE — The Tennessee State University women's basketball team concluded the regular-season with a 82-44 loss on the road at Belmont on Saturday afternoon.
TSU finished the regular season with an 11-18 record and a 6-12 mark in conference play.
Tatyana Davis led the Lady Tigers with 18 points in 32 minutes.
Elise Harden and
Sierra McCullough each had six points in the loss.
Belmont led wire-to-wire and went into the half ahead 44-26.
Conley Chinn led Belmont with 17 points while Destinee Wells had 16 points and Madison Bartley had 10 points and eight rebounds.
Tennessee State will take on Eastern Illinois in the 5/8 matchup on Wednesday in the first round of the 2022 OVC Tournament. EIU swept the Lady Tigers this season, first with an overtime win in Charleston, 77-70 and then a 72-61 win in Nashville on Senior Day. Wednesday's matchup will start the OVC Tournament in Evansville, Indiana at 1 p.m.
