HOW IT HAPPENED:
BOT 2ND: SEMO's Kynzie Wrigley began the inning with a single up the middle. In the next at-bat, Kat Sackett clubbed her first home run of the season. ||
SEMO, 2-0
BOT 3RD: Alyson Tucker singled to left to jumpstart the inning. Kaylee Anderson advanced Tucker into scoring position with a bunt single. With two runners on, Wrigley recorded two RBI on a double off the left field wall. Sackett extended the lead for SEMO with a two-run homer. ||
SEMO, 6-0
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Jasmine Brown went 2-for-3; the freshman's fifth multi-hit game in 2022.
- The Redhawks drove in four runs with two outs.
- SEMO's starting pitcher, Paytience Holman, tossed her second complete game of the season.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Kat Sackett, a transfer from Marshall, entered the game with no home runs and totaled two in the contest.
- TSU has been shutout in 10 games this season.

TOP 1ST: To begin the game,
Jasmine Brown reached on an infield single and advanced to third after a throwing error by SEMO's first baseman.
Peyton Fointno drove in the first run of the game on a suicide squeeze. ||
TSU, 1-0
BOT 1ST: The Redhawks manufactured two baserunners on two hit-by-pitches. With two runners on and two out, Kat Sackett tied the game on an RBI single to center field. ||
TIED 1-1
BOT 2ND: SEMO's Paige Halliwill grabbed the lead with a solo home run to right-center field. After a double from Tatum Gerwitz and a walk to Alyson Tucker, Kynzie Wrigley blasted a three-run homer to left field. Kaylee Anderson added a run on a solo home run. The Tigers made a pitching change to bring in
Francys King. Tori Bradley walked and scored on a home run by Chelsy Pena. ||
SEMO, 8-1
TOP 5TH: Ivory Jones singled to right center field and advanced to second after a single from
Jasmine Brown. TSU trimmed the deficit as
Jones scored on an error by the SEMO third basemen.
Peyton Fointno tallied her second RBI of the game with an opposite field single to right field. ||
SEMO, 8-3
BOT 5TH: To lead off the fifth inning, pinch-hitter Abigail Rickermann tripled to deep center field. The Redhawks added to their advantage with an RBI single to left field. To cap off the contest, Halliwill connected on a two-run homer to reach the run-rule. ||
SEMO, 11-3
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Peyton Fointno went 1-for-3 with two RBI, including a squeeze bunt to help the team.
- Jasmine Brown recorded two hits for the second straight game.
- The Redhawks registered five home runs in the 11-run outburst.
BEYOND THE BOX:
- Fointno leads the Tigers with 12 RBI in 25 games.
- Brown has compiled six multi-hit games this season; she's generated multiple hits in consecutive games three times this season.
