HOW IT HAPPENED:
BOT 3RD: SIUE's Aerin Talley doubled to lead off the third inning. After a walk to Lexi King, Grace Lueke lasered an RBI single to right field to give the Cougars an early lead. TSU issued a pitching change and allowed a single to load the bases. With the bases juiced, SIUE increased the advantage with an RBI walk. ||
SIUE, 2-0
TOP 4TH: With one out,
Peyton Fointno singled up the middle and advanced into scoring position on a base knock from
Ryla Traylor. The Tigers implemented a double steal to move the runners.
Maggie Klug cut the deficit in half with a sacrifice fly which scored
Fointno from third. ||

INSIDE THE STATS:
- Ryla Traylor went 2-for-3 with a stolen base, her third multi-hit game of the season.
- Raven Loveless entered the game in relief and tossed 3.1 innings scoreless.
- Six starters registered a hit for Tennessee State.
BEYOND THE BOX:
- In her fifth start of the year, Alyssi Drayton recorded the first multi-hit game of her career.
- SIUE's Grace Lueke logged four hits and three RBI in the three-game series.
