NASHVILLE – The Tennessee State men's tennis team fell in the semifinal round of the Ohio Valley Conference tournament to Tennessee Tech, 4-0.
In the doubles competition, the Golden Eagles secured the point after 6-1 victories on courts one and two.
In the singles portion, Tennessee Tech registered straight set wins on courts two, four and six. On court three,
Nil Moinet gave a fight in the first set, 4-6, before his match went unfinished. On court five,
Diego Britt-Alvarez dropped the first set, 4-6, as his match did not finish the second set.
The Tigers won six matches throughout the regular season, the most since 2017-18. TSU had two members earn recognition on the All-OVC team, as
Moinet earned second team honors while
Daniel Perez-Caraballo claimed first team.
