NASHVILLE – The Tennessee State Athletics Ticket Office has gone digital for all ticketed events thanks to an enhanced platform agreement with Ticketmaster, as announced by Dr. Mikki Allen, TSU Director of Athletics.
To provide a safer environment on-campus and at Nissan Stadium — and to enhance the gameday experience — the rollout of digital ticketing will give fans a quick and convenient entry into the venues. The shift will also reduce the risk of lost, stolen, or counterfeit tickets while providing the ability to easily manage, transfer, or sell your tickets at any time from your smartphone.
"I'm excited for our fan base to enjoy our new digital ticketing experience," said Tyler Iverson, TSU Director of Athletic Events and Engagement. "We recognize that this will be a change for some, but we have created the resources to assist our fans with the ever-growing technologies surrounding the game day experience."
For quick and easy entry into football and basketball games, fans are encouraged to download the TSU Tigers app from the App Store (iPhone) and Google Play (Android).
"This change puts TSU in line with the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators who have already crossed over to digital ticketing," said Allen. "Our ticket office staff is ready to assist all fans that need assistance during this transitional period."
Digital tickets and parking passes can be accessed via a mobile device and on a desktop web browser. A mobile device is required for venue access on gamedays.
Parking passes for Nissan Stadium events will be digital-only for single-game buyers, visiting fans, and season ticket holders that purchased after the August 5 deadline to secure a windshield sticker.
Current undergraduate students will still need a valid TSU ID to enter all ticketed events.
Below are some useful tips to help expedite entry into all TSU Athletics events:
Your mobile device is the ticket on gameday. All valid digital tickets will display a moving barcode or a hold near the reader (tap-and-go) icon. PLEASE NOTE: SCREENSHOTS OF TICKETS WILL NOT SCAN AT THE GATE AND WILL NOT ALLOW ENTRY!
- Access tickets and parking passes through the TSU Tigers app account manager account at least 48 hours prior to the event.
- Prior to arrival, add tickets to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay.
- Ensure that your mobile device with your tickets is fully charged before leaving for the venue.
- Have your ticket displayed and ready to be scanned before entering the venue.
- It is recommended that fans send each guest their own individual ticket if the party is arriving separately. If there are multiple tickets on an account for the group, swipe left on the barcode after scanning to access the additional tickets.
- Reference the seat location on the ticket to access your seat(s).
- Turn the screen brightness on your device to its highest level for easier scanning.
