Garcia-Guerrios Registers Triple-Double in 3-0 Exhibition Win

NASHVILLE — Sofia Garcia-Guerrios secured a triple-double with 10 kills, 13 digs, and 15 assists to lead the Tennessee State volleyball team to a 3-0 exhibition win (23-10, 25-15, 25-16) against Trevecca Nazarene on Tuesday at the Gentry Center.

Garcia-Guerrios' triple-double with 10 kills, 13 digs, and 15 assists led the Lady Tigers in the contest. Aleksandra Rojecka also added 12 kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Gina Rivera Ortiz chipped in with 15 digs to go with one block from Rayna Williams.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Tigers won the first point and never trailed to win the first set 23-10. Tennessee State opened up its biggest lead, 13 points, to finish off the set.

SET 2 | After their win in the first set, Tennessee State put themselves on the cusp of a sweep with a 25-15 victory in set number two. The Tigers took control of the set lead early on at 4-3 and never looked back. Tennessee State opened its biggest lead of the stanza, 10 points, to close out the set, collecting 19 kills in the process. The Tennessee State offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.

SET 3 | Tennessee State then finished off the match with a victory in set number three. The Tigers led from the opening point on in the set to secure a 25-16 victory. Tennessee State ended on a high note, claiming its biggest lead, nine points, to finish off the set.
