NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee State men's cross-country team opened up their 2022 season this past Friday, as they competed in the Belmont Opener, hosted by Belmont University.
The race was held at Percy Warner Park in Nashville. TSU finished in sixth place out of six teams. Host school Belmont finished in first place, followed by Vanderbilt in second, and Murray State in third.
The TSU men were led by Robert Hooper, as he notched a top-20 finish, coming in 16
th place (16:14.93).
Thaddee Barge earned a top-25 finish for TSU as he came in 24
th place after clocking a 16:36.65. Sunny Quinn was not far behind as he clocked a 17:29.4 to notch a 32
nd place finish for the Tigers.
