OPENING TIP — The Tennessee State women's basketball team will head out for its third two-game road trip of the early season as they are set to take on Cincinnati and Akron. The Lady Tigers are coming off a 1-1 trip to Miami that saw them pick up their second win of the season in a 10-point victory over Bryant in the FIU Thanksgiving Tournament.

SHINING IN THE SUN: Sanaa' St. Andre shined bright in the Florida sun last week as the senior transfer from Kansas City was named to the FIU Thanksgiving All-Tournament Team, while also being recognized as the OVC's Newcomer of the Week. She logged a season-high 19 points against William & Mary and averaged 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals, and 2.5 assists over two games in Florida.
PERFECT FROM THE STRIKE: The Lady Tigers finished a perfect 10-of-10 on free throws against Bryant.
Zyion Shannon finished 6-of-6 from the strike, while
Aaniya Webb and
Caitlin Anderson both finished 2-of-2.
BENCH HELP: More than half of the Lady Tigers' points against Bryant came by way of the bench TSU had 29 of their 53 total points come from the bench, led by
Zyion Shannon's season-high 14 points.
Aaniya Webb tallied seven points, while
Shequana Jackson logged four.
