Men's Basketball Falls 74-52 to Liberty

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Tennessee State men's basketball team got a 22-point performance from the bench, but fell 74-52 to the Liberty Flames on the road Wednesday.

The Tigers (6-5) had two players score double figures, led by Christian Brown, who scored 16 points. Jaylen Jones tacked on 11 points and Ej Bellinger added six and 11 rebounds.

How It Happened

After falling behind 32-24, Tennessee State went on a 9-0 run with 2:48 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Kinyon Hodges, to take a 33-32 lead. The Tigers then maintained that lead and entered halftime with a 35-34 advantage. Tennessee State relied on its three-point shooting in the period, knocking down five shots to account for 15 of its 35 points.

Liberty then erased the Tennessee State lead in the game's the second half for a 74-52 comeback victory.
