MBB Set to Host Boyce in Final Non-Conference Home Game

OPENING TIP: The Tennessee State men's basketball team will return to the Gentry Center tomorrow afternoon for their final home non-conference affair as they will host Boyce College. The Tigers have just two non-conference games left with Boyce and Indiana State on the road next Tuesday.

SERIES INFORMATION: This will be the second-ever matchup between the Tigers and the Bulldogs. TSU took down BC 103-49 in last December's contest. David Acosta finished with 14 points in last year's win while Marcus Fitzgerald Jr. chipped in 13.

LIBERTY NOTES & NUMBERS:
 
16-14: The number of points Christian Brown scored versus the number of minutes he played against the Flames. Brown saw 14 minutes of action in the first half and finished with 16 points before he was slowed down due to an injury. He logged his fifth straight game of 15+ points as he finished 5-of-7 from the field and 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.
 
11: The number of rebounds the E.J. Bellinger pulled down against Liberty. This marks the second time this season that the Belmont grad student has logged 11 boards. Bellinger leads the team with 63 total boards and is averaging 5.7 per outing.
 
GIVE ME THAT: Kinyon Hodges became the first player in the OVC to cross the 20-steal threshold with three swipes at Liberty. Hodges leads the league with 21 steals and is also leading the league with 1.9 steals per game. Jaylen Jones is tied for second in the OVC with 16.
