NASHVILLE – The Tennessee State women's tennis team took on Troy on Sunday morning at the Vanderbilt Indoor tennis courts and fell 7-0 to the Trojans.
Troy started off the match by taking the doubles point after defeating all three TSU double duos 6-2, 6-2, 6-2.
In singles action, Mdilwa Warona (No. 1),
Jovana Nikolic (No. 3), and Aroa Castillo (No. 4), all had hard-fought matches, each falling 6-4, 6-4.
Naomi Von Bose fell 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 4 singles.
Naomi Von Bose dropped her match in the No. 2 singles slot 6-2, 6-4.
Daniela Koleva lost 6-1, 6-2 in No. 6 singles, while
Franka Sindicic was blanked 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 5 singles.
TSU will be back in action on Friday afternoon, as they are set to head down the road to Murfreesboro to take on Middle Tennessee.
